It would appear that Glock believes they were robbed when Sig Sauer won the Army Pistol contract.
I own two Glocks a 17 (9MM) and a 21 (45) I also own a Sig Sauer P320 (9MM or 357 SIG, 40 S&W and yes 45). I enjoy shooting my Glock’s but there are some things I don’t like particularly the difficulty in disassembly and the fact that I must own separate pistols for different calibers. The Sig P320 is modular. The serial number portion of the weapon is the firing assembly which can be removed in about 2 minutes places in a small compact frame with a small slide and an barrel and now you have a concealed weapon for law enforcement or counter intelligence use. In 2 minutes it is a full size pistol but with a barrel modified to accept a suppressor. For the Special Operations community drop the mechanism into a larger frame, add new slide and barrel modified to accept suppressor and now you have a weapon for use in special operations missions. Disassembly of the Sig is a breeze. In short Glock did not deliver and now they Whine.
