Do NOT Be Concerned, This Will Not End Badly

9 Sep 2016: US and Russia announce (amid much fanfare and self-congratulation in DC, I might add) a deal on a cease-fire in Syria.

Be sure to catch these lines– “ „That should put an end to the barrel bombs, an end to the indiscriminate bombing of civilian neighborhoods,“ Kerry said. [Yes, damn their eyes, that’ll teach ‚em to cross a Yale man!] In February [2016], a cessation of hostilities negotiated between Kerry and Lavrov fell apart within weeks, and efforts to reach a political settlement in the war-torn country have been on the verge of collapse.“

Fast forward nearly a month, to 3 Oct 2016– US ditches Russia on Syrian peace deal.

Could it be that we’ve been rolled? That Russia plays to win, and now after deftly maneuvering us out of there, holds all the cards?

I sense a little fundamental transformation here.

And where does the Bear venture next?

Perhaps the Russians roll like Jingis Khan. Perhaps if Kerry were to throw the medals he awarded himself to show those Russians that he’s serial. Like Algore. Theresa let’s him cuz he’s so darn cute when acting like a stateszir.
